What is supposed to happen when I open a flow using this editor? At the moment I am presented with a blank screen. The flow is valid and the application runs as expected. Does this editor work?

1. What is the type of project you are working on?
2. Could you share your installation details here? Open IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details > [Copy to clipboard] and paste the same here
3. Please attach a screenshot of the issue you are facing to help me get a visual
4. Could you share a sample project / file to help me reproduce your issue?
5. Clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log, replicate the issue and attach the file here.

3. Please attach a screenshot of the issue you are facing to help me get a visual
blank screen. I have a flow files called \WEB-INF\flows\search\search.xml and when I double-click to open, it naturally opens in your webflow editor. The only way I can edit/view source is to right-click and open with <different menu option>

Thank you for the details. I think you have MyEclipse WebFlow Editor associated as default editor for *.xml files
I would recommend you refer this weblink to know more about MyEclipse Webflow Editor - http://www.myeclipseide.com/documentation/quickstarts/spring_overview/
You could also go through

The default browser for webflow is MyEclipse Webflow editor. If you wish to change it, do the following - from menu options click on Window > preferences > General > Editors > File Associations, select file types as "*.xml", it will list the associated editors, you could select relevant editor and click on [Default] to set as the default editor. Next click on [Apply] and [OK].

Actually, I have reviewed these links. I am right-clicking on a webflow xml file and selecting open with webflow editor. The file opens and all I see is a blank screen.

If I right-click and open with any other editor, I see the source.

I am afraid, I cannot comment further, without going through the same files. Could you please share a sample project to help me replicate this issue? It does not have to be same project you are working on. You can create a bare-minimum sample project, replicate the issue and attach the same here.

stanlick,

If you remove the webflow file from the project properties file, it results in blank webflow editor screen. I would recommend you verify the same here - right click on your project and click on properties > MyEclipse > Spring > Web Flow Support. Check if the webflow.xml is added here (shown as just "webflow"). If it is not present, click on [add] to add your webflow.xml file.
