Migrating from Myeclipse 8.5 to 10.

MyEclipse 10 accepts my subscription licence details, but I cannot get the activation to
work, either automated or manual.

responds with:

My internet connection is working fine, do I require specific port no.s open in my firewall ?

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Please answer below queries -
1. Are you behind proxy? If yes, did you setup proxy here - window > preferences > general > network connections? Please attach a screenshot of the same to help me get a visual.
2. Are you on a single user license or multi-user license?
3. How did you install MyEclipse 10.5? Also where did you install ME 10.5? Is it in the same system as your 8.5? If your ME 8.5 is working fine, 10.5 should also work fine as it refers to the same subscription detail.
4. Look into .myeclipse.properites file located in your HOME directory. Refer this FAQ on the location of files on folders - http://myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-27743.html and verify your subscription details
5. Attach your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log
