JD-Eclipse (http://java.decompiler.free.fr/?q=jdeclipse) is not running for me within myEclipse version 10. (10.5 and after upgrading to 10.6)

It used to run in previous versions of myEclipse 6, 7 and 9.

It is running in myEclipse Blue Edition 10 (10.1 and after upgrading to 10.6).

comunit,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. We do not provide intrinsic support for third party tools but we will surely try to assist you in this case.

1. Can you please share your Operating System and version details ?

2. What exact error do you see when trying to run the JD-Eclipse ? Please share the details.

3. Is the ME Blue edition also in the same machine as the MyEclipse 10 edition ? If MyEclipse Blue is running on a different machine, then please share the details of its Operating System and version.

4. I suggest you try to uninstall and reinstall the plugin on MyEclipse to fix any issues during subsequent updates.

5. Can you also please attach the downloaded .zip file for JD-Eclipse to help us replicate the issue at our end?

Let us know how it works for you.

Thanks for the quick support. SInce it works in previous editions of ME and in version 10 of MEBlue, I suspect some kind of error in ME. That is why I posted here.

Looks to me like JD-Eclipse is not registering as "editor" for class files or something similar.

1. Windows 2008R2 Enterprise SP1

2. When opening a class file, It should open a decompiled java source. Instead it just shows the standard window with the "bytecode" of the class. No error message or anything.

3. The Blue edition is running on the same machine.

4. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help. I installed the plugin in version 10.5. It was not running. Then deinstalled and reinstalled. Again nothing. Deinstalled. Upgraded to 10.6 and installed, deinstalled and reinstalled with zero results.

5. The zip should be attached.

I answered my own question. Using the preferences I went to file associations and marked JD as default editor for class files. Now it opens as expected.
