    OK, here is the scenario:

    1. My Git Repository got somehow messed up using Smart-Git. Note that I am using Smart-Git and not the Eclipse Git plug-in to work with GIT so all projects in Eclipse are created from existing source.
    2. I could not figure out how to get out of the mess it was in, so I decided to just re-clone it.
    3. So, I deleted my Git directory, and re-cloned it into the same place.
    4. Most projects in Eclipse were fine after this, but for some reason one of them, was not fine, it was showing no files (interestingly other Git projects created in the same way ‘From Existing Source’ were fine).
    5. So, I right-clicked on the Eclipse project having issues to delete it so that I could add it back.
    6. Well, it was then that my E-Drive disappeared, having an SSD drive, it disappeared really, really fast!

I am pretty sure this was Eclipse that deleted the drive because this is the second time it has happened to me and the situation was very similar, including the re-cloning. Anyway, it seems if that something really bad goes wrong with the project in Eclipse that was created ‘From Existing Source’ and you try to delete it, it can delete the drive that Eclipse is installed on. At least it is some kind of situation like that.

I would be interested if this is something that could be confirmed by anyone.

    sdelrio,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. We do not provide intrinsic support for third party plugins but we will try to assist you in this case.

Can you give us additional details ?

    1. Can you please clarify that you are working with MyEclipse and not Eclipse?

    2. If its MyEclipse then please copy paste the Installation Details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.

    3. Can you recheck if the version of the plugin you have installed is compatible with the base Eclipse version of MyEclipse ? Ex : If you are working with MyEclipse 10.x, then the plugin must be compatible with Eclipse 3.7.

    4. MyEclipse is built on Eclipse. The issue might be carried to MyEclipse from Eclipse.
Can you check if the issue persists in Eclipse?

If it exists in Eclipse too, then I recommend you post to Eclipse forums for better support.

Let us know how it works for you.
