Not sure if this is a bug or something is misconfigured, but I did a fresh install of MyEclipse Blue 10.6 and the Code Assistant will not bring up any recommendations for completion. That is for methods or class suggestions.

I figured out what is going on. A colleague of mine and I have the same issue. If you go under Windows->Preferences->Java->Editor->Content Assist->Advanced
Java Proposals and Java Type Proposals are unchecked in both areas. Check them, hit ok and it starts working.
