Spring DSL – Invalid container for the new object

    I have a MavenForMyEclipse enabled web project. I enabled Spring-DSL on this project. There are no errors.

    I right click the project, selected New…. Spring-DSL – Web Controller.

    In the dialog box, the web project has a red X next to it and under the title it says “Invalid container for the new object”.

    Please advise.

    mangelo123,

    You need to create a model package before creating the web controller. Please follow these steps to create model package.

    1) Go to Project explorer
    2) Expand your project and then right click on Spring DSL and Select New > ModelPackage
    3) In the New model package wizard, expand your project and select the Spring DSL. Enter the package name and click Finish
    4) Right click on the created model package (from project explorer) and select New > Web Controller.
    5) In the New web controller wizard, expand your project and select Spring DSL > Model package(created above). Enter the Web controller name and click Finish.

    I found it. It is under the Project Explorer view only. I’ve created a controller and now moving forward.
