I don’t know what kind of dependency nightmare might be involved in this, but our quick experimentation with an upgrade from MyEclipse 10 to MyEclipse 2013 shows that the version of JDT being used by ME2013 has some unfortunate bugs (specifically surrounding resource leak detection) that seem to be fixed in the updated JDT version in use by eclipse 4.3.

It would be great if ME2013 could receive an update to the JDT compiler/plugins to get us past these false warnings. Otherwise, an upgrade to ME2013 just doesn’t make sense for us (too much noise).

    Thanks!

    Scott,

Sorry you’re seeing issues with 2013. We hope to have eclipse 4.3 support by the end of this month. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before you can switch to a 2013 release.

Any update on this? I don’t see any updates I can install when I do a “check for updates” from within MyEclipse 2013.

    Scott,

It’s very close. Sorry I can’t be more precise. We hoped to have it out by the end of last month but, almost inevitably, not all the glitches have been ironed out, yet. Hopefully, it won’t be too far away. The builds have been looking good!
