When I click on a .java source code file I want it to automatically open in MyEclipse. So I found the folder where the MyEclipse program is located and chose it and that check box that says “Always use this program to open up this kind of file…” yeah that’s checked too.
So I’m clicking on some .java source files I made last night expecting to view them in MyEclipse but when I double-click on the source file I’m looking at nothing. MyEclipse opens but there is no source file to look at.
When I try to open a source code file going through the File Menu it opens fine.
Just wondering what I’m doing wrong or what I gotta do differently.
Actually I’m kinda getting the impression that you can’t just double-click on a .java file and have it open and be viewable in MyEclipse. Not sure why that functionality is not there.

I am afraid we are currently not supporting this functionality. We are planning to include this feature for the next major release. I have filed an Enhancement Request to add this functionality.
Let us know if you see any issues.

As an alternative, you can drag the .java file from the explorer to the IDE editor pane to view it.
Okay Thank You. I’d like to ask if there is a limit to the number of times a person can activate the software?

There is no limit to the number of activations as such, but if you are activating on multiple machines, you need to make sure at any given time the number of MyEclipse instances opened is not exceeding the number of users allowed on the license. For example : If you are on single-user license ensure that at any given time you are not logged in from multiple machine using the same license key. If you did , MyEclipse would prompt you that too many users are using the subscription key.
If this is not what you are looking for, please elaborate on what exactly is your concern.
