support-swapnaModeratorluizromero,
Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I could not replicate the issue at my end.
The JPA Project Change Event Handler is usually fast enough. Can you please try increasing the -Xmx value in the myeclipse.ini file to a higher value and see if it fixes the issue? . The myeclipse.ini file can be found in the same folder as your MyEclipse executable.
-vmargs
-Xmx768m
-XX:MaxPermSize=384m-Xmx can be increased higher than 768 as per the memory requirement for your workspace.
If you are still seeing issues, can you please check the ‘Progress’ view to see which events are resulting in the slowness? Also let us know the OS and version details of your system along with the -Xmx value given in the myeclipse.ini file.
Let us know how it works for you.
Luiz Romero MachadoParticipantI’m using windows 7 in a Dell XPS i7 with 8GB RAM + SSD.
myeclipse.ini file:
#utf8 (do not remove)
-startup
plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.3.0.v20130327-1440.jar
–launcher.library
plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.i18n.win32.win32.x86_64_3.2.0.v201103301700
-vm
binary/com.sun.java.jdk7.win32.x86_64_1.7.0.u45/bin/javaw.exe
-install
C:\Users\Romero\AppData\Local\MyEclipse Professional 2014
-vmargs
-Xmx2048m
-XX:MaxPermSize=512m
-XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=64m
-Dosgi.nls.warnings=ignoreIf you have another suggestions, I’ll be glad.
Tks

support-swapnaModeratorluizromero,
Sorry that you are seeing this issue.
1. If your code includes large JavaScript frameworks, can you please try ‘Turned Off’ or selecting ‘Basic mode’ for JS Code Analysis mode (Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Files and Editors > JavaScript) and see if it helps?
2. Are you working with large workspaces? Can you check if the issue is only with a particular project? If possible, please switch to a new workspace and see if the issue persists.
3.If the issue is only with a particular project, is it possible to send us the project to support@genuitec.com to help us investigate locally?.If the size of the project is more than 5 MB, please send it to swapna@genuitec.com. Alternatively, you can prepare a screencast showing what exactly happens. Please also record the ‘Progress’ view.
4. Also check the .log file which is located at <workspace dir>/.metadata/.log for any errors of interest. If any please paste them here for us to investigate further.
Luiz Romero MachadoParticipantHi, first i want to say i very happy with yours attention.
I put my project (just one) in a new workspace, but when I opened the project, it’s took about 5 minutes to complete jobs “JPA Project Change Event Handler”.
See attachment.
Tks,
Luiz Romero Machado

support-swapnaModeratorLuiz,
Thank you for the screenshot.
Unfortunately the dev team is not able to reproduce your issue locally with JPA projects we have. We would really like to fix the problem you are experiencing, however the issue might be specific to your project. We are not able to move forward if you don’t provide us with either your original project or an example project in which we could experience maybe to lesser extent (10 secs delay e.g.) the issue.
Please send the original/sample project to support@genuitec.com with a reference to this thread. If the project is more than 5 MB in size, please email it to swapna@genuitec.com along with a reference to this thread to help us investigate further.
support-piotrParticipantLuiz,
I am investigating the issue. Could you please send me a screenshot of the maximized progress view, while the slowliness after save happens. I need to see everything what is in the progress view, to confirm that I have reproduced your issue. Thanks in advance!
Luiz Romero MachadoParticipant
support-piotrParticipantLuiz,
That was quite a delay =) Good news is that we have already tracked down the problem and fixed it. You’ll be able to get the fix with next release of MyEclipse!
Luiz Romero MachadoParticipantPiotrek,
that’s a very good news. This problem is wasting my time!Thank you very much.
Luiz Romero
jclose123ParticipantHello – I am having the same issue. When will the fix for this be released?
support-tonyKeymasterjclose123,
Sorry for the inconvenience that this is causing. The first release containing the fix will be 2015 EA (early access), which is targeted for the end of May, currently.
Please refer to this post for details on fixes for 2014 which will be in 2015 EA first before being made available in a 2014 service release. The problem you are seeing is mentioned as the JPA performance issue.
I hope this helps.
Luiz Romero MachadoParticipant
