    Hello,

I assume that there is some way to close MyEclipse and to have all open views and perspectives preserved so that they will be rebuild when ME is started for the next time. At least this does exist when ME crashes.

I just can’t find a menu that does this. And I don’t think it’d be good idea to kill ME without need.
    🙂

Restart is not what I want either as I just want to close ALL of ME but I don’t want to close all view, which means re-selecting the needed files when restarting.

Probably, this is again another well hidden menu item. But where?

    Regards
    Josef

    Josef,

I’m afraid your issue is not clear.

After restarting MyEclipse, the perspective/views/files that are opened previously will be opened again by default. Are you facing any issues after restarting ? Can you please be more clear on your issue ?

The workspace already saves state periodically. This can be configured via the preferences: Window -> Preferences -> General > Workspace > Workspace save interval (in minutes) and adjust your preference value to be more frequent.
