I am trying to install SVN plug-in’s to MyEclipse Blue Edition 10.6 and Apply changes button is not working correctly it seems.

Added Subversive Plug-in and Subclipse 1.6.x from Popular list and it is showing in Software Updates Available section but not showing in view after apply changes.

    BofA-141,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

    1. Can you please clarify whether ‘Apply’ button is not shown under ‘Apply changes’ section or clicking on ‘Apply’ button does nothing ?

    2. Are you behind a firewall or proxy ? If yes then you need to set proxy settings here : from MyEclipse menu click on Window > Preferences > Pulse > Network Settings.

    3. Can you please switch to a new workspace and check if you can still replicate the issue in the new workspace ?

    4. If you can still see the issue, please attach the screenshot of MyEclipse Configuration center -> Software/Dashboard tab, to help us visualize the issue ?

    5. To help us investigate further, please attach the log file located at <Workspace>/.metadata/.log file if there are any errors of interest logged.

As an alternative, you can install plugins in to MyEclipse using Help > Eclipse marketplace or using Archived update site or Dropins method. Here is a detailed tutorial on how to add the plugins to MyEclipse : http://www.genuitec.com/?p=1628

‘Apply’ button is showing but when I click the button it is showing the Install state(In About this Profile section) is Updating and after some time Install state status is Installed but Managed Changes list is still there(Unchanged) and SVN is not showing in View.

    Proxy looks fine.

    new workspace also same issue

    BofA-141,

    Thanks for the details provided.

From your screenshot it is observed that you are unable to connect to http://www.myeclipseide.com server. (Please check on the right hand side of the screenshot under Tips and Tricks / In the news section)

Please ensure you allow http://www.myeclipseide.com , http://www.poweredbypulse.com and http://www.genuitec.com through your firewall. And also please check your proxy settings as I mentioned in my earlier response.

Alternatively, please try installing plugins using Help > Eclipse Marketplace. Also you can install plugins using the archived update site. Please take a look at this tutorial on how to add plugins using dropins folder mechanism – http://www.genuitec.com/blog/?p=1628#dropins

Let us know how it works for you.
