    Hello,
I am new to my eclipse IDE, and i would like to use it for my development. However, I ran into a problem and I tried so many times to figure it out what did i do wrong in creating a sample jsf page and why it did not work. It gave me an error on the <f:view> tag in my code and the error was javax.faces.webapp.UIComponentClassicTagBase.setJspId(UIComponentClassicTagBase.java:1856).

For the information, i am using MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench Version: 2014

and I follow the step on the help JSF tutorial to create to web project named jsfDemoProject,

and i included my eclipse -> project facet -> include jsf facet as instructed fromm the tutorial.

However I may miss some step , so i did not work out.

Please help by point out what i did wrong.

I also attached jsf code for you to review.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Dung

    Dung,

From the attached JSF code it looks like you haven’t completed all the steps mentioned in the JSF tutorial. Can you please clarify whether you have done all the steps mentioned in the JSF tutorial ? If not please complete all the steps mentioned in the tutorial and let us know if you see any issues.

If you want to download the zipped version of the demo project created in the JSF tutorial, you can download it from the ‘Introduction’ section of the tutorial.
