I created a maven multi module project in BLING 10.7. every thing works fine. I upgraded to BLING 2014, migrated the project, and checked the code into CVS.

I created a brand new workspace, and checked out the parent project. All child projects are checked out, but the child projects are not recognized in the IDE as projects. For example, I have a WAR and EAR child projects, and neither is available for deployment to a server.

I have tried it with the “Hide folders of physically nested modules (experimental)” checked and unchecked with the same results. Only the parent project shows in the “Package Explorer”.

Note that in BLING 10.7, there was a “Check out Maven Project” option in CVS. That option is not available in BLING 2014.

    pbagar,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

I have filed an enhancement request for the missing “Check out Maven Project” option in the CVS connector.

As a workaround, please follow these steps :

    1. Check out the parent project into workspace.
    2. Delete the project from the workspace, but do not remove it’s contents from Hard Disk Drive.
    3. File > Import > Maven4MyEclipse > Existing Maven Projects. Browse to the location of the previously checked out parent project and follow the wizard.

Let us know how it works for you.

Thanks. I tested the workaround and it does indeed restore the project structure. Interestingly, the Import Menu contains the missing “Check out as Maven project”. However in my case, there are no entries available in the SCM URL dropdown.

For now the workaround will do it.

    Thanks a lot,

    Paul
