During the installation i get this error message and the installation is aborted:
“An error occurred while checking the available diskspace on this machine”

My machine has 400gb of available diskpace.

    What can be happening???

    Thanks in advance!

    emagaspar,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

Can you please give us some more information?

    1. Which version of MyEclipse are you installing? Are you using the downloaded offline installer or the custom installer?

    2. Can you please re try downloading the installer, check if the MD5 and file size of the installer matches with that mentioned in the Downloads page and retry installation ?

    3. If you are still seeing issues, please share the log file whose name starts with pulse-one-<date> which is located in the temp folder. To know where your temp folder is : echo %TEMP% from the command prompt will give the path to the folder location.

    4. Please also share your OS and version details.

Hello, thanks for the quick response.

I’m installing myeclipse for spring 10.6 with this installer “myeclipse4spring-10.6-offline-installer-windows”.
The installer is alright since is the same i used to install myeclipse before and did it successfully.

I attach the log file in this message.

My OS version is Windows 7 Professional 64 bits

    Thanks in advance

    emagaspar,

I’m sorry you’re seeing this error. It is something we haven’t seen before. From a search for the problem, it seems that a number of developers have seen the same error (though not when installing MyEclipse) when using some version of Java 8. Although our Windows installer shouldn’t require Java to be installed (it’s required on other platforms), I’m wondering if there are certain situations when system libraries are used, if available. If you have Java 8 installed, cold you possibly switch to another Java (perhaps by altering your PATH in a command prompt window) before invoking the installer again?

If that’s not the issue, can you try selecting the other architecture (32 bit/64 bit) during install, to see if that helps (just as a check, if the other architecture is unsuitable for your development)? Please mention the architecture you’ve chosen during the install, when you see the error.

As another possibility, your installer might have been corrupted somehow. Can you check the MD5 sum is 6CEA6D9A5613363F1362BD0BAFED31C6? If that isn’t your MD5, you will need to download the installer again, though we would recommend downloading a later installer (either release 2014 or 2015), to get the latest fixes. Fixes will no longer be issued for release 10.6.

Please let us know how you get on.

    emagaspar,

Thanks for getting back to us. I’m glad installing Java 7 sorted it for you. We’ll look into why that was necessary.
