Is there JAX-WS 2.2 Support . I am using WAS 8.5 configured with IBM JDK 1.7 and using Maven Based project. I cant use WebService wizzard to create JAX-WS 2.2 Java Classes while using top-down approach. The highest version of JAX-WS option avalible for MyEclipse Blue 2014 is 2.1. When using RAD 9 with Maven Based project I had no such issues.

    UHC223,

I’m sorry, JAX-WS 2.2 support is not yet supported in MyEclipse. An Enhancement request has already been filed for our dev team to investigate on this. I will get back to you once I have any updates from our dev team about JAX-WS 2.2.
    Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

If you guys are claiming JEE 7 support in ME Blue 2014 but you really only support JEE 5, as clearly this is the case, then this should be a high priority and your marketing materials should be changed reflect the reality.

    Thanks,
    Also UHC

    UHC,

I just want to let you know that this is a high priority issue for us – not sure how we overlooked JAX-WS with the Java EE update. We’re working on a fix and will let you know when one is available.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused.

    Sanjeev,

As promised earlier in this thread, we spent a significant amount of time working on JAX-WS 2.2 support for WAS and in general. Unfortunately this caused a number of regressions and we had to pull the feature out of the release.

If I were to scope this to your exact requirements, if, when generating a web service from a WSDL, if the wizard allowed you to choose 2.2 as the target version for the web service (when running with a server that supports 2.2) – would that be sufficient? Is there any additional support that you are looking for specifically? While we will still work on the support in general, knowing your exact requirements would allow us to delivery some of these features to you sooner.

Apologies for not being able to get it in the product so far.
