    Hi,

Is MyEclipse 2014 fully backward compatible with MyEclipse 10? Can I simple import projects from MyEclipse 10 and expect them to work?

Also does the license for MyEclipse 10 apply to MyEclipse 2014?

    Thanks,
    Gang

    Gang,

MyEclipse 2014 is not fully backward compatible with MyEclipse 10 in terms of project configuration.

Projects created in older versions of MyEclipse should be migrated to take advantage of newer features. The migration will ensure that your project works fine in 2013 or higher.

When you import a project which is created in the earlier version of MyEclipse, the migration wizard is displayed automatically for projects requiring migration, but migration is not forced

Please take a look at our documentation for more information.

The license you hold for MyEclipse 10 is valid for MyEclipse 2014 as well. Our licenses are time based and not product based.

Our latest release MyEclipse 2015 C1 is based on Eclipse Luna. Please download it from here and give it a try.

Let us know if you see any issues.
