LofiParticipantCan you please make the link here:
https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/myeclipse-2014-and-matisse/
work again? We get
Forbidden You don't have permission to access /downloads/products/eworkbench/2014/site/matisse/ on this server.
It’s rather urgent (ie time & money involved). I knew I should have downloaded it the first time it was available. You can never trust online services 🙁
Thank you very much.
support-swapnaModeratorLofi,
The update site to install Matisse in MyEclipse 2014 is working. It is not an archived update site hence you cannot download it or access it directly.
To install via an update site:
1) Click Help > Install from Site…
2) Add this update site using the Add button
http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/2014/site/matisse/
3) Ensure that “Group items by category” is not checked.
4) Select “MyEclipse Visual Swing Designer” and proceed to finish the wizard. Matisse will be available on restart.Let us know how it works for you.
LofiParticipantIt doesn’t work. All we get is:
Unable to connect to repository http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/2014/site/matisse/content.xml
Connection to http://downloads.myeclipseide.com refused
support-swapnaModeratorLofi,
You don’t have permission to access /downloads/products/eworkbench/2014/site/matisse/ on this server.
If you try to browse through the url for the update site, you will get the above error message.
I do not see any issues in installing from the update site at my end.
Unable to connect to repository http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/2014/site/matisse/content.xml
Connection to http://downloads.myeclipseide.com refusedIt looks like there is no internet access via MyEclipse.
Are you behind a firewall or proxy? If yes then you should setup the firewall/proxy information here : Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections. Please check if you can access internet from the MyEclipse Web Browser.
Let us know how it works for you.
LofiParticipantWell, it does work now. But I didn’t change anything. Neither did my colleague. I tried at home and at work. While other update sites were accessible with MyEclipse, that one wasn’t.
I solved the problem by copying my earlier install to my colleague, so install-via-copy does work, which is great.
I really would like to avoid another kind of waste of time like this and would highly appreciate if I could get the archive for offline install of Matisse. Is that possible?
Thank you very much for the help!
edit: never mind. I found a tutorial on stackoverflow about how to download and use the files offline.
support-swapnaModeratorLofi,
Glad that you got it working. It might be a temporary technical glitch.
I have escalated your request for archived update site to the team. They will get back to you.Let us know if you see any issues.
