MyEclipse Blue 2014 on Linux OS.

First I launched the JBoss 7 from ME IDE’s server panel (this is the standalone mode).

Next, I launch the JBoss 7 from Outside the MyEclipse IDE in standalone mode, such as via the linux command line console. ./standalone.sh

My question, are these two instances the same? Or, the instance launched from Outside the IDE is a separate instance from the one launched via the IDE?

If they are separate, if I can say that I need to make two configurations, one for the instance launched via the IDE, another for the instance launched via the linux console? If this is the right understanding, does it mean I am clustering the two instances on the standalone mode?

    Thanks

    Eugene

    Eugene,

The instance launched from outside MyEclipse and the one launched via the IDE are separate instances and will need separate configurations as they can’t use the same port numbers. They are not clustered, as they are standalone instances.

    Hope this helps.
