I have been using myEclipse 9 for the past year, but recently received a new computer to set up, and have upgraded to the latest version of myEclipse. I am using a Tomcat server running on my local machine (not the integrated ones), and can get that to run fine outside of myEclipse, but am unable to find how to add it in like in the previous version.

For instance, in myEclipse 9 I see the following options:

    MyEclipse > Servers > Tomcat > Tomcat 7.x

This is what I am used to setting up and what I planned to do in myEclipse 2014, however those options are nowhere to be found. Instead, I see the following menu:

I am new to this version of myEclipse (and configuring the software in general, as it was set up for me by a previous developer who is no longer here for myEclipse 9), so it is possible I am missing something obvious, but any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Sorry that you are seeing issues with MyEclipse 2014. Looks like the installation is incomplete.

Can you please answer some more questions?

    1. How did you install MyEclipse 2014 ? Is it using offline installer or the custom installer?

    2. Did you select ‘no addons’ when installing MyEclipse ? If yes, then try reinstalling by selecting the add ons.

    3. If the issue still persists, please download the installer once again, verify whether the downloaded installer file size and the MD5 sum matches with that mentioned in the Downloads page and install another copy of MyEclipse 2014.

First delete the MyEclipse 2014 entry from ‘C:\Users\<username>\.deliverycenter.installs’ file and then rerun the MyEclipse 2014 installer and follow the wizard to install another copy and check if you can see the servers in the preferences.

    4. MyEclipse 2015 CI 4 based on Eclipse Luna is our latest release which is in progress, and you can access exciting new features as they become available. You can download it from here and give it a try.

Let us know how it works for you.

    Hi Swapna,

That did fix my problem. I had been told that all the options were installed along with myEclipse 2014, but apparently that was not the case.

Thank you for the quick response!
