Fail to install Drools 6.1.0

    MyEclipse info: version 2013 SR2 Build id: 11.0.2-20130823

    Trying to install the latest Drools 6.1.0

    from Help-> Install from Site -> Add
    this site url http://download.jboss.org/drools/release/6.1.0.Final/org.drools.updatesite/

    But failed to install with the following messages:

    Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
    Software being installed: JBoss Runtime Drools Detector 6.1.0.Final (org.jboss.tools.runtime.drools.detector.feature.feature.group 6.1.0.Final)
    Software currently installed: MyEclipse Professional 11.0.2.c0000025t201309110828 (package.me-pro-11-ea.windows.x86 11.0.2.c0000025t201309110828)

    Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

    I could replicate the problem at my end. The issue seems to be with ‘JBoss runtime drools detector’ plugin which is causing a dependency conflict error.

    Can you try unchecking the ‘JBoss runtime drools detector’ plugin and then install it ? (I have tried installing the plugin by unchecking ‘JBoss runtime drools detector’ and it installed fine without any issues at my end).

    As an alternative, you could also install drools plugin (5.4.0 final) from MyEclipse secure marketplace (Help > Install from catalog > Search for JBoss drools plugin > Click Install and follow the wizard).
