I am trying to migrate a project from MyEclipse v10 to v2014. Whenever I try, a NullPointerException is thrown:

    Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
    at com.genuitec.eclipse.jsf.migration.InstallJSFFacet.detectFacetVersion(InstallJSFFacet.java:56)

It sounds very similar to this issue:
    http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-30308-highlight-detectfacetversion.html

I am attaching my .log, .settings, .project, and .classpath files, plus install details.

    Thanks.

    Mike,

Sorry that you are seeing issues during migration. Thank you for the files. Please also send us the project’s .mymetadata file to help us investigate further.

    Swapna,

Thanks for getting back to me. However, It’s not necessary, as I was able to work around the issue.

When I hit this error, it was on a project, as pulled down from source control. Our source control does not contain all of the metadata files. I tried, instead, to copy over the same project from my previous MyEclipse workspace. With this project’s metadata files, I was able to migrate the project.

    Thank you for your time.
