I’ve been trying to build a an J2EE client for WebSphere 5 and haven’t been able to get ‘support’ from the MyEclipse plugin for application-client.xml. That is, I haven’t been able to have the plugin install the client into the .ear for deployment to the server.

So the quick question is: Does MyEclipse support the application-client.xml project? If yes, I’ll follow up with more specifics. If no, well, that’d be about it! 8^)

    Thanks!

    Doug,

I’m sorry to report that we do not currently support application clients for packaging into an EAR, just any number of EJB or Web projects. The next enhancement will be dependent project support so it may fall under this model. In case it doesn’t, I’ve added an enhancement request for it so we can address it in a follow-on release.

No reason to be sorry. I had seen the dtd referenced under the j2eedt.core_2.5.1/dtd directory and didn’t know if I was missing something.

I toyed around with adding an entry to the .mymetadata file but had no luck. Now I know it wasn’t me.

    Thanks for your response!
