    Hi,
after writing html or jsp code, a code formatter like e.g. Jalopy would be quite nice (or allready a better support while writing the code)

Good news. The next release (2.6.0) available this week (week of 8/18) will have better completion support (closing tag) and a formatter for HTML and JSP code.

    workaround:
1 copy and paste XML content to a JSP file.
    2 format it
3 copy and paset back to XML

That’s inventive. If that works, you could also add an association between the JSP editor and XML files so that you could simply use “Open With…” when you wanted to use the JSP editor on an XML file just to reformat it. Caveat: I’ve never opened an XML file with our JSP editor. 🙂
