    Open the Preferences dialog.
    Go to MyEclipse->Editos->JSP/HTML Editor
    Select Format

    Checking or unchecking boxes has no effect on
    the text in the preview window.

    Fixed. Will be included in 2.6.2 maintenance release late this week or early next week.

    I just tested this and the text is reformated when any checkbox is modified except the top two on the preference page. This is because ‘Lowercase HTML Tags’ really affects code assist, and not formatting. For reformatting to a different case of tags you need to select ‘Update HTML Tag Case’. The only reformatting settings that don’t cause a reformat of the text are changing the tab size or tab/space option. I’ve made an entry into our internal tracking system to get this issue addressed in the next service release. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

    Ullrich,

    And thank you for pointing out that the tab size / redraw feature wasn’t functioning so we can get it fixed. Taking the time to let us know these types of things makes the product better for all our subscribers. We appreciate all feedback for this very reason.
