When I try to run jboss application server(4.0 rc2), an error occured!
“Please verify the preference field : JBoss JDK name”. I don’t know what the problem is. I’ve tried add a JDK which point to my jdk home, but it showed the same dialog. I’m using JDK 1.4.2_06.

Ok, I’ve resoleved this problem. I’ve just added the lib\tools.jar to the system libraries and jboss can be launched now. What I can’t understand is MyEclipse doesn’t use the default jdk setting. I’m using 3.8

Glad you figured it out. The problem was that the “JDK” you are pointing JBoss too is a JRE, not a full JDK, as is required. Adding tools.jar to your JRE directory resolved the library problem. A full explaination on this, as well as detailed information on configuring the connector properly is available in the Application Server quickstart that is included in the help bundled in the application or that is available in the Documentation section on the website, here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/ContentExpress-display-ceid-67.html
