Somehow when I press Ctrl+Backspace I get the next word deleted instead of deleting the previous word.
I tried changing the key bindings settings, and I saw that when I press Ctrl+Backspace the dialogs says I am pressing Ctrl+Del. The same happens if I really press the Ctrl+Del key.

Currently I don’t have a clue how to change this behaviour. The help on this subject shows a different set of dialogs not the one I have in 3.6.2 and I really don’t know how to change the key bindings.

    Please help,

    Erez

    Erez,

What editor are you doing this in? Key bindings are set under Window > Preferences > Workbench > Keys

I am using the internal source code editor inside the Eclipse 3.6.2.
I didn’t know that but after I searched the Eclipse newgroups I found some bug reports on this matter in the 3.0 M3 version. But either ways I can’t seem to change any of the bindings using the keys preferences. Also I repeat this, the Help given in the 3.6.2 does not reflect the actual GUI dialogs currently available in the 3.6.2.

Anyway, it’s pretty annoying to have pressed Ctrl-Backspace and oops.. wrong again..

I’m assuming by source editor you mean the Eclipse Java editor?

Please note that MyEclipse 3.6.2 is based on Eclipse 3M3 and as we have stated many times over it is experimental just as the Eclipse M-builds are. This is not a cope out its just a fact that Eclipse3 is not GA and the APIs are still in flux. Eclipse warns developers that use of M-builds are use at your own risk. When the APIs are frozen in Eclipse M5 we will update all documentation to reflect the stable version of the product. This approach mirrors the priorities of the Eclipse team, i.e., it doesn’t make sense to document unfinished features.
