Hi !
Since yesterday I am not able to download the new release of MyEclipse. I have a DSL connection of 2 MB but even then max download rate is only 8kb/sec. Yesterday I was not even able to load your webpage.

How does MyEclipse team expects us to download its 100MB tool with such low bandwidth !

Plz increase your bandwidth and the infrastructure immediately (I hope myeclipse infrastructure guys r not sleeping).

It has really pissed me off and probably a lot of MyEclipse users...
Please provide us some alternatives or solution or a mirror site where we can download it from. Can MyEclipse team imagine how will the customer feel if the thing he "paid" is not delivered !
This all looks really very UNPROFESSIONAL !
I hope it wont take MyEclipse another month to correct this !

We are doing this right now, last night we made some minor improvements to help lessen the burden and we are trying to bring some more download servers online to offload the work. We really appologize for this.

Guys I would like to point out that in the past we have always run with enough hardware/bandwidth to cover a 2x increase in traffic... the problem with 4.0 is that it was a 3-4x increase in traffic over night and really caught us off gaurd, so we actually had planned... we just underplanned. We will get this fixed up shortly.

When will it be fixed ? Until this is fixed we are unable to download your product.
I could not believe its taking MyEclipse infrastructure team so much time to fix such
critical issues.

The problem is that new servers need to be rolled out, configured, tested, and placed into production. It's non-trivial, to say the least, but we hope to have the work completed by Monday (by working through the weekend) at the latest. Like Riyad said, until this release, we had an additional 100% of capacity in reserve, which just about anyone would deem enough. It just wasn't and we're working to triple existing capacity as quickly as we can.

Philani,
We are sorry to hear that the download is not working for you but we are currently not registering any download issues on the site. I've just downloaded two copies of MyEclipse onto two separate machines on two different networks (remotely on one) and both intsalls download at 300-500KB/sec as well as ran without any problems.

Are you using any download accelerators? What are you using to download? Have you tried downloading the Manual Install and then using WinZip/WinRAR/etc. to test the archive for errors?
