Hello ,

we are using MyEclipse latest version with Eclipse3.1, we are facing a problem with JSP files, they are not being built automatically even though the build automatically option is checked.
This problem arises quiet frequently.. some times , after shut down and restart of the server, they are ok, but sometimes, even if we shut down the server and shut down the eclipse also, the problem remains, its not reflecting the changes in the code made in the JSP page.

we are using Weblogic 8.1 SP3 server and j2sdk1.4.2_08 JVM.

Please advice..

Arman,
I believe what you are asking about is deployed changes out to the server? You must be using an exploded deployment type for this, if you are using a packaged deployment (WAR) then this is the problem.

Hello.

We are deploying in to the server by exploded deployment only. but still the problem persists, this problem is with .js files also.

One more problem we face is the out of Memory Error, we increased the Heap Size in the start up comman option. but still some times this problem arises.

Please advice

Please paste your entire command line you use to start MyEclipse.

Can you please post all the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of this forum? That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.

Arman,
We are having a very hard time helping you, the original post was pertaining to Eclipse 3.1 and MyEclipse 4, now you are asking about Eclipse 3.0 and MyEclipse 3.8, with different problems each time you post. I would suggest to you the following:

1) Install a fresh download of Eclipse 3.1 SDK (Create a *new* workspace)
2) Reinstall a fresh download of MyEclipse 4.0 GA
3) Enter in your subscription information

Do this on each machine that is having problems.

Hello,

we are using Eclispse 3.1 SDK with MyEclipse 4.0GA , we have pruchased a 7 user License for using this plugin. we installed Eclipse with this plugin on 7 of our systems and its worked fine. but unfortunately a week ago, Eclipse3.1 With this Plugin was installed on one more system. but immediately we uninstalled again since we found the system too slow . but from then, Eclipse installed on the remaining systems is giving unexpected break downs , throwing the dialouge to purchase for more licenses and the IDE is shutting down abruptly. Some times, its not reflecting the changes made in the files and its throwing a dailouge that we have only 2 user licenses and showing a note of all the using IP addresses.

Pls help and suggest an immediate remedy for this problem.

Thanking You

Arman,
The situations you described above sound like an install issue, I suggest you do as I outlined in my previous message, specifically step #1 (the new workspace and install) are very important.
