Are there plans for a new pricing model for 4.0? I see there is a Professional edition now so there will be two different versions?

The short answer is yes. We'll continue to have our standard version for $29.95 and are adding a professional version for $49.95. The only difference is that the professional version includes UML tools and Oracle-specific database editing functions (triggers, stored procedures, etc). However, as a thank you to all our existing customers, we'll treat every existing key as a pro key through expiration and are planning on letting everyone renew at the base price and get a pro key, shortly after the release.

There's more information in the latest newsletter, that is available in the Member Services > Account Management > Newsletter Subscription > Newsletter 12 Preview.

We are setting up the site to allow ordering of new Pro Subscriptions as we speak (sorry for the delay, we really put 110% on the 4.0 release and are catching up with infrastructure changes). If you have an existing subscription, you should already have Pro functionality until your subscription expires.

I don't seem to have the full Pro Functionality available to me. All the UML options have disappeared since I have upgraded to 4.0GA. Are there any ideas why this might be happening?

Thanks

The subscription will still say "Standard", but the license manager will *treat* it like a Pro license until your existing subscription expires. Andrewsc, is it possible your subscription just expired recently?

upgraded to 4.0GA

Sorry that this is causing you a problem. The course to get you running the fastest is to install a fresh version of Eclipse 3.1 in a new location and then install 4.0GA such that it points to it. Once you've installed in a parallel location, simply open your existing workspace.

There really was no way to upgrade properly from M3 to GA due to the problems detailed in this thread:

Can you please post all the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of this forum into a new support thread? That will give us some context for further investigation.
