DaveO,
It's literally *raining* facelets on this end and it started after we finalized M1 and then did testing for 3 weeks. I spoke with one of our managers this morning and it's pretty much green-lighted for a first pass for 5.5M2 (meaning capabilities, better editor support, etc.) but no designer work has been OKed at this point.

I have no personally spoken to the manager yet that will have the end-all-be-all say on this, so I don't want to say "yes", but I will say "things look very good, or I will a fish in someone's desk".

Excellent news.

BTW - I tried to download your facelets project ZIP file and the download keeps crashing and failing.

Can you try with a different browser? (the url doesn't require any permissions or being logged in)... I wonder why it's crapping out...

I tried it with two different browsers. Around the same time tho I was running into constant timeout errors from myeclipseide.com in general. The two are no doubt related.

Probably because 5.5M1 garnered some interest.. ;)

Guys it has been confirmed by management that we will be improving the JSF tooling in 5.5 and adding XHTML support as our first steps towards Facelets. We don't be claiming full facelets support in 5.5, but things should get better, then I believe our goal is full Facelets by 6 or 6.1
