WebSphere 7 Support (MyEclipse Blue Edition Only)

MyEclipse 7.1 Blue Edition now supports WebSphere 7.0 Application Server. Now developers that need to control full app development and deployment lifecycle for WebSphere 7.0 can use MyEclipse 7.1 Blue Edition.

WebSphere 7 Connector

A new connector preference page for WebSphere 7 has been added under the MyEclipse Blue Edition > Servers > WebSphere - Blue Connectors page.

Deployment & Administration

Once you have a WebSphere 7 server and profile configured, you can launch the server in debug mode, deployment and administer your application all from within MyEclipse Blue Edition default perspective.

WebSphere 7 Web Services

In MyEclipse 7.1 Blue Edition, you can create web services targeted to WebSphere 7.0, in addition to WebSphere 6.1, 6.0 & 5.1 which were supported by earlier versions of MyEclipse Blue Edition.

If you use JAX-WS and WebSphere 7.0, you have the option of generating against the JAX-WS 2.0 or JAX-WS 2.1 specifications:

MyEclipse Blue Edition provides advanced options for you project classpath configuration. You can keep using WebSphere application server runtime as a source of libraries or you can use server-agnostic MyEclipse libraries that will let you deploy your projects on other servers.

Wizard will remember your selection and will make it easier to enhance other projects.
