With MyEclipse Lite, you have the ability to uninstall
functional modules from MyEclipse so you only load the plugins
you need. This gives MyEclipse a smaller footprint and removes
undesired elements from the UI. MyEclipse 8 has been
restructured to be as modular as possible and we have over 30
modules that can be uninstalled and reinstalled as desired.
To uninstall or reinstall a Lite module, simply bring up the
MyEclipse Dashboard using Help > Manage MyEclipse Plug-ins...
(or MyEclipse > Manage MyEclipse Plug-ins)
The dashboard will show you a list of modules available and
their current state. Simply click the Uninstall / Install
buttons to uninstall or install a module. For instance, if you
don't want to use Tapestry and are not big on Maven, simply
uninstall them using the Dashboard and you will not see this
functionality when you next start MyEclipse.
