Hello MyEclipse Team,

Despite the fact that the online tutorials are very inaccurate in terms of building a icefaces capable datatable accessing a database with a paginator (it's still showing incorrect info last time I checked). I decided I would try and use icefaces and so far icefaces has been more hype and fluff than actual productivity. It's one thing to have a framework with lots to learn about it's backend complexity. But it's a another thing entirely when that same framework introduces new bugs and makes your project unstable. Icefaces is beginning to fall into that category.

org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve log
SEVERE: StandardWrapperValve[jsp]: PWC1406: Servlet.service() for servlet jsp th
rew exception
javax.faces.FacesException: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException
at com.sun.faces.lifecycle.LifecycleImpl.phase(LifecycleImpl.java:306)
at com.sun.faces.lifecycle.LifecycleImpl.render(LifecycleImpl.java:144)
at com.icesoft.faces.webapp.http.core.JsfLifecycleExecutor.apply(JsfLifecycleEx
ecutor.java:18)

That error has been popping up in my project simply by "adding icefaces capabilities to it" never mind I didn't even have a chance to use the icefaces components. My question is are there alternative ajax jsf frameworks out there I can integrate with myeclipse? Richfaces, ADF maybe because icefaces though it has a lot of features makes that all pointless if I can't even use the damn thing reliably. Stable Integration > cool wow factors every time.

I'm using eclipse 3.4 with myeclipse 7.0 m1 I'd give you my config info but unfortunately it's so unstable it can't even give me that info. I'm greatly disappointed with this version to say the least. I'm going to try other ajax jsf framework and will be just as critical analyzing those as I have been with icefaces.

nmatrix9,
I'm sorry you are having trouble running Icefaces. I noticed you are working with a milestone release. Did you try upgrading to the 7.0 GA release and test this again.

Can you list the exact steps to help me reproduce the issue at my end.
