I installed the latest Java update. I'm using MyEclipse 7.5 with Eclipse 3.4.2.

Matisse forms will hang during editing.

This appears to be the same issue experienced per postings on this forum for the prior version of MyEclipse and Java 5.

I'm hoping to find someone who has had the same problem and can explain what I need to do to fix it.

I don't know if this problem occurred with J6U15; I didn't use M4M until after upgrading.

Suggestions would be most appreciated.

I downloaded and installed the full stack installation of MyEclipse 7.5 to see if that resolves the problem. It seems to work just fine.

Apparently an error was introduced when installing MyEclipse via the approach of first installing Eclipse 3.4.2 and then adding the MyEclipse update site to download and install.

Unfortunately despite installing the full stack, Matisse4MyEclipse still hangs for some items on the Matisse palette, for example when adding a scroll pane.

To attempt to fix I reverted to the prior J6u13 version for the design time information (dt.jar) used by matisse. I choose this version because it was shipped with the full stack.

So far this seems to fix the problem, at least tentatively.

I continue to use j6u16 as my primary jdk for eclipse otherwise.

I am interested in hearing from others having this same problem to see if they came to the same or different solution.

Any suggestions or input are most welcome.

Does anyone know if MyEclipse 8 will fix this issue?

Also, will mixing jdk versions cause problems?

There definitely appears to be an error when adding certain controls from the matisse palette.

The MyEclipse application completely hangs when I add a list control to a scroll pane. When I restart MyEclipse it seems to work OK.

To keep things simple I'm using j6u13 for both jre and jdk.

Note that it doesn't hang for all controls, just for the combination mentioned. I've used this combination in the past with no problem.
