MyEclipse Blue Edition

Version: 10.0 Blue
Build id: 10.0-Blue-20111028

OS is xp pro sp3 Older system with Core2 Duo and 2gb ram. Runs RAD 7 ok.

Upon startup I get the messages updating indexes that seems to tie up the system for many minutes. It eventually goes away, but even RAD 7 starts up much faster.

Any ideas on what is causing this?

Sorry that you are seeing this issue with MyEclipse.

Is it updating indexes for Maven ? If yes the disable the "Download repository index updates on startup" option in preferences (Window-->Preferences-->MyEclipse-->Maven4MyEclipse-->Maven) so that it does not attempt to download an update each time - once for a given workspace will make sure you have an updated index unless you are looking for brand new additions to the repository.
