Javascript validation takes forever. I tried exclude WebRoot from validation and suspended all validator. Still everytime I open the project, it goes through a lengthy validation process.

How do I disable javascript validation? Is this a bug? Using MyEclipse 10

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I have filed a PR for the dev team and they are looking at the problem.

To improve performance I suggest you change the JS mode to Basic mode. To change your JavaScript code analysis mode, go to Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Files and Editors > JavaScript.

I unchecked JavaScript Validator in Builders. That worked for me.

Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Files and Editors > JavaScript causes Eclipse to hang. Note that I am using Eclipse 3.7.1 Classic and got MyEclipse 10 from Update Site.

I could not replicate the issue at my end.

Can you please switch to a new workspace when you get a chance and check if you still see the issue ?
