My Java app includes script languages as Python and Ruby.
When I wanted to install RDT via Configuration Center I got the following errors:
Software being installed: MyEclipse IE JavaScript Debugger 10.0.0.me201110311918 (com.genuitec.myeclipse.iedebugger.feature.group 10.0.0.me201110311918)

It seems to be impossible to install Ruby Development Tools in MyEclipse 10.
Or is there another way.
Pls help.
Thanks in advance.

Christine,
Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Please provide below information to help me investigate -
1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details > [Copy to Clipboard] and paste the same here
2. How did you add RDT via configuration center? Please share the eclipse plugin update site or weblink to download eclipse plugin for RDT
3. The issues reported below show DLTK. I would recommend you do the following - remove "MyEclipse IE JavaScript Debugger" feature listed under "MyEclipse Configuration Center" > Dashboard tab by un-checking the checkbox preceding the feature. Does that help?
4. In case it is still an issue, please clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log, replicate the issue and attach file here
Let me know how this works for you. |

Hi Joy,
wow, I don't believe it:
Removing MyEclipse IE Javascript Debugger resolved the problem.
As this plugin was installed by default (I did not add it via Configuration Center and my MyEclipse installation is brand new) I would recommend that this plugin is removed from default installation) because it causes problems with other plugins. It should be only installed by users who need IE Javascript Debugging.
Many thanks.

Christine,
Good to hear you are all set. I cannot comment on the removal of MyEclipse IE JavaScript Debugger for windows only feature from MyEclipse by default, but I shall escalate your request to the dev team to investigate further. Thank you for the suggestion. |
