I've tried installing the Windows Azure SKD + Plugin to MyEclipse(http://dl.windowsazure.com/eclipse).

the plugin installed perfectly fine in Eclipse Indigo, but when I try to install it into MyEclipse i get the following error:

Adam_Hess ,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I could replicate the issue at my end when using the update site.

Alternatively you can use the dropins folder to install the Azure plugin to MyEclipse. As you have already installed the plugin to Eclipse Indigo, you can use the installed feature and plugin to install into MyEclipse. Look for com.persistent.winazure.eclipseplugin feature and plugin in the Eclipse install directory\features and plugins folders.

Create features and plugins folders inside [MyEclipse install dir]\dropins if they are not already present. The feature folder should be added to [MyEclipse install dir]\dropins\features and the plugin jar to [MyEclipse install dir]\dropins\plugins. Restart the IDE and you should see the message that the plugin is successfully installed to MyEclipse.

Let us know how this works for you.

Sorry that was a little confusing to read through, could you break down that process a little more.

if i am understanding this correctly:

1) Look for com.persistent.winazure.eclipseplugin.feature
2) look for the file com.persistent.winazure.eclipseplugin in the Plugin folder (this should be a Jar)

3) in the Myeclips-DIR\dropins create both a Feature and Plugin folder
4) put the item from no 1) into the features folder, put item from 2) into plug-in folder

Almighty, I tried that and it worked, but:

I am not getting all the folders I should be getting when I load a new Windows Azure project. I am missing:

deploy
emulatorTools

Both of which are essential for running an Azure project.

Adam,

Do you see the missing deploy and emulatorTools folders in the Eclipse Indigo ? If yes , can you tell me where exactly are you seeing them ?

I am not well versed with Azure plugin. I do not see these folders after I installed the Azure plugin to Eclipse Indigo and created a new Azure project.

Please list out the steps in detail for me to replicate it at my end.

Whoopse My Mistake.

You need to "Build Project" for your azure project to see it.

Thanks for the help. Problem Solved.
