viswamy2k,

Right-click on your EAR, go down to MyEclipse > Add/Remove Modules and double-check that the modules are listed there as well.

In case the modules are not listed, it means that you don't have the said EJB and Web projects in your workspace. You can create new web and ejb projects and add the same to your EAR.

viswamy2k,

I do not have a visual of your current workspace, please provide below details to help me investigate -
1.
Quote:
WHen we open the EAR application.xml i can see all my web & EJB projects are there as modules
Are these web and EJB projects available in your workspace? Please attach a screenshot of the same. Showing the web and EJB projects in your workspace
2. Add a screenshot of references of the web and EJB projects in the EAR application.xml
2. Right click on your EAR, go down to MyEclipse > Add/Remove Modules and attach a screenshot of the same

viswamy2k,

My apologies for the late reply. Thank you for the screenshot. I am afraid I could not replicate your issue on MyEclipse Blue 10.1. Could you explain if the existing EJB and web projects were created in MyEclipse or imported in MyEclipse 10.1? I could not replicate this issue either with existing web/EJB projects or WTP projects imported from Eclipse. Was this working before? If yes, could you list the steps that resulted in the above issue? Also list details of third party plugins added to MyEclipse, including the update site details or weblink to download the plugins.

Please clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log, replicate the issue and attach the same here.

I see that you have opened application.xml in Source view. Could you open in the Overview tab. Next click on [Add]. Check if the web and EJB modules are listed here.

If the above does not help, as a workaround, create new web/EJB projects and copy the contents of the same to the newly created web / EJB projects and give it a shot.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,
We have tried the following options
1. Tried to add projects from descriptor overview tab, but its not showing any projects to add
2. Remove the .metadat log file and started the myeclipse with -clean option but still the issue observed

And my projectes are not improted from any where these are poulated as part of our application workspace setup.

We have observed that this issue is not comming up when we point ant to 1.7 instead of 1.8 and also this issue is not there with Myeclispe enterprize 10.1 (not blue)

So could you please let me know how to solve this problem

viswamy2k,

You have not answered all my queries and attached .log file as mentioned in my earlier reply. I am not clear why did you point ant to 1.7 instead of 1.8 and its relation with the current issue.

As a quick workaround, I would recommend you create a new workspace(File > Switch Workspace > Other) and import the projects you need from your old workspace. From menu options click on File > Import > General > Existing Projects into Workspace and follow the wizard.

In case the above does not work, you could try creating a new enterprise project and adding relevant modules, copy anything else you need from the old project.

If you still have issues, please attach the following -
1. .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log,
2. application.xml file,
3. .mymetadata file(right click on your enterprise project > MyEclipse > Open in Explorer).
