Hello MyEclipse Team
I have the problem, wenn I open a html-template with place a holder for the charset, like this:

"<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=##charset##" />"

Than MyEclipse can't open the File and show this message

"character encoding "##charset##" is not supported by this platform" .

Why Myeclipse look in to the content of the file an interprets or compile the content ??? How strange is this ...

atze,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. It looks like a bug with Eclipse, which is the base version for MyEclipse.

Take a look at these links and see if the recommendations work for you :

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1391617/eclipse-html-editor-for-html-template-files
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1391617/eclipse-html-editor-for-html-template-files

I suggest you also cross post to Eclipse forums for better support.

Hope it helps.
