Hi,

I have the following improvements w.r.t. XDoclet usage:
* when input files for XDoclet have been modified but not saved,
XDoclet does not notice this and still uses the old versions from
file (e.g. old ejb-ejbrefs-MyBeanClass.xml file).
Instead, Eclipse should prompt the user to save the affected files
or save the affected files automatically (simply solution: save all files)
* XDoclet does not realize it when merge files have changed.
This is probably a bug in XDoclet. For this reason, I always set the
"force" attribute of <ejbdoclet> to true.
* There should be a fast way to run XDoclet (e.g. separate button) to
update the XDoclet files.
* When redeploying a bean, XDoclet should automatically be run when
needed.

Cheers
Erik

Erik,

Good feedback. I'll enter them into our current XDoclet enhancement request. A couple questions though:

update the XDoclet files.

Faster than a right-click on the project > MyEclipse > Run XDoclet? That's effectively one mouse click.

A prompt might be better. Some users use XDoclet one time then hand edit everything. Don't know why, but they do.
