Hello,
I don't see the extra features (e.g. edit/run procedures and functions) that are described on http://www.myeclipseide.com/ContentExpress-display-ceid-60.html#oracle.
I'm using version 4.0.3 on Red Hat linux w/ the "Professional Subscription". My connection uses the JDBC thin driver and the ojdbc14.jar provided by oracle.
Can someone tell me how to enable these features? Basic stuff - connections, queries seem to work fine.
Thanks!

John,
What version of Oracle are you using? Are you able to see all your schemas but just no special nodes? Or do you see the PACKAGE nodes for instance but no appropriate actions for them? A screenshot might help explain things if possible.
Could you please post all the information requested here: Posting Guidelines. Don't forget to include your error logs.
Best,
Brian. |

Thanks for your reply, Brian.
I'm using Oracle 10.1.0.4.0. , attached (http://gdsg.ngdc.noaa.gov/myeclipseide.png) is a screenshot of the myeclipseide. Listed below is the configuration summary. The only tree nodes I see under the current schema are SYNONYM, TABLE, VIEW.
Thanks again for your assistance!

John,
Either create a new profile or edit your current profile and on the second page of the wizard, choose "Display all schemas" and see if that helps. You will see all the other schemas as well, but you should see all nodes for the jcc schema.
Let us know how it turns out,
Best,
Brian. |

Interesting - if I choose all schemas, the extra nodes appear just as you suggested. Also, I can limit to a specific schema and they are still present.
Only when the "display default schema only" option is selected do the extra nodes *not* appear.
In any case, I'm all set. Thanks so much for your prompt help!

John,
Glad you got that working and thanks for posting back. We'll have a look internally why this does not work with the default schema.
Best,
Brian. |
