Downloaded newest versions of myeclipse and eclipse yesterday. Followed instructions to install matisse. Nothing failed during
installation. Tried to open a Matisse form. The creation wizard works ok, but when trying to open the
form in the Matisse perspective, I get a stactrace (see below). What should I do?

Bjorn,
We want to help but we really don't have enough information to do that positively. What may be happing is that you installed Mattisse4MyEclipse 4.1.1 on MyEclipse 5.0.1, depending on which instructions you saw. That would cause an incompatibility and error similar to what you're seeing if the instructions you followed were not the ones in the product release announcement here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-13679.html
If you don't think that's the issue. Please post the results of running the menu command: MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details... as a followup and we'll go from there. |

Hi
I got support from myEclipse. The fix was this: Use jdk 1.5 instead of Mustang. I implemented this by
using a .bat file with this content "C:\jlib\eclipse\eclipse-SDK-3.2-win32\eclipse\eclipse.exe -clean -vm "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_08\bin\java.exe" -product com.genuitec.myeclipse.product.ide -vmargs -Duser.language=en -Xms128M -Xmx512M -XX:PermSize=64M -XX:MaxPermSize=128M -Dosgi.splashLocation="C:\Program Files\MyEclipse 5.0GA\eclipse\MyEclipse"
Now, this isn't th most elegant solution, but for some reason I couldn't edit the
shortcut, which would have been more elegant. It works.
One caveat: It didn't work initially, I had to update the Eclipse cache
once before stuff started working. I did this by using "eclipse.exe -clean -vm " in the
start of the .bat file instead of the line show further up in this reply.
Hope this helps

Hello,
I have the exact same error, only, I don't run Mustang or ever installed it.
I currently run java 1.5.0_06, to which the JAVA_HOME is set, eclipse 3.2 and MyEclipse 5.0.1GA.
Ant help would be greately appreciated,
CG. |
