Hello all.

I have seen this problem is various messages around the forums but it always happens when someone changes versions of myEclipse or tries to build a project for the first time. In my case, it's almost every time I save (and this automatically build) a java class with a certain project, I get this error. It never happens with any other project, but all of my projects are plain-old Eclipse Projects.

By going to Preferences, Removing the JRE System Library, exiting, re-entering, and re-adding it, the project successfully builds. But it's quite a pain in the butt to have to do this almost every time I save.

I am using Eclipse 3.1, myEclipse 4.01, Windows XP.

Bob, if these projects are all plain Java projects and you are using the standard JRE System Library are you asking in general how to get around this or are you reporting this as a bug against MyEclipse?

Have you tried restarting using the -clean command line argument?

Well, I'm not sure that it *is* a bug with myEclipse, it's just that I've seen this topic on the myEclipse forums and thought it might be a common myEclipse problem.

If it isn't, if no one has ever seen this before, well, I guess I'll just have to look elsewhere!

We had this issue with our custom J2EE container in earlier (3.8) release series of MyEclipse, but we haven't heard people reporting the issues since then. Although that isn't the same as the default JRE containers provided by the Eclipse platform.

That sounds like it could either be a workspace issue or an installation issue.
