Hi.
I appreciate the update to the road map to include the target dates for the next two point releases of ME. However, it would be really interesting to know what will be new/fixed in those releases. Any juicy details you want to share?
Thanks.

Nothing to share. Just working hard on 6.0.1, hardening up the 6.0 release and then planning and working on 6.1.

We aren't that great about roadmaps, especially far-out roadmaps, but we are pretty detailed with what's in every release. Just a bit more waiting and an intriguing shroud of secrecy around each release ;)

Now that 6.0.1 is out, and clues as to what kinds of things are going to be in 6.1? According to the road map you're 0% complete in it...

No nothing to share about 6.1. It's due out in March/April or so, and we have a major deliverable still set for December for a new version of MyEclipse so 0% is more of an oversight of the page not being updated than a good indication.

Come Jan I'm sure we'll get more informative.

(BTW I'm not ignoring, just can't squeeze anything out of management at the moment that is officially sharable)

I thought the mid December deliverable is 6.1 (that's what the roadmap says). That's why I was noticing less than the usual amount of clues about it. So the thing mid December isn't 6.1 after all, but something else? I'll be the first to admit that I'm happily coding away using 6.0.1 and life is pretty good to the point of wondering what a new release could do to help.

sprior,
Doh, I just sent that notice to marketing to get that fixed. Thanks for the heads up.

ALso I'm glad to hear 6.0.1 is going smoothly for you. We felt it went out as a really solid release. Good way to top the year off.

Yeah, the only major thing that would make my life much easier at the moment would be refactoring for javascript which works similar to the refactoring for java, and I don't know if that's even possible with a dynamic language.
