The MyEclipse Profiler is now capable of profiling Eclipse
plugins. Simply bring up the context menu on a plugin and choose
Profile As > Eclipse Application
Alternatively, you could choose an existing Eclipse Application
launch configuration to be profiled from the Profile toolbar
item.
Profiling settings for both performance and memory profiling can
be configured in the
Profile Configurations wizard, accessible from
the above toolbar item or your plugin's
Profile As context menu.
When profiling any application from your project's context menu
or the Profile toolbar item, you will now be asked if you desire
Performance or Memory profiling; you no longer need to go to the
Profiler Configurations wizard to select the profiling mode.
