Installing MyEclipse
1) First, open your Eclipse Classic installation and go to Help >
Software Updates > Find and Install...
2) Toggle "Select for new features to install" and click "Next" as shown.
3) Click on "New Remote Site."
4) Name the Update site you want. In this case "MyEclipse 6 Update Site" and then enter the update site url: http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/discovery-6.5/ Then click OK.
5) You'll see the MyEclipse 6 Update Site selected. Go ahead and click "Finish."
6) You'll be given a list of option software that relates to the MyEclipse installation. In this case, we'll just update MyEclipse itself and not the other features shown.
7) As usual, we'll need to accept the license agreement before proceeding.
8) This next screen will allow us to choose the directory we want the MyEclipse update to be installed to. We'll change it by clicking "Change Location..."
9) You'll need to tell Eclipse you want a new directory created by hitting "Add Location..."
10) We'll point the install at a new sub-directory. For example "myeclipse6\eclipse" in the same Eclipse 3.3.2 directory. Once your directory is selected, hit OK.
11) Select the location you've just specified and hit OK.
12) You'll see that the new install directory has been recognized by the wizard. Hit "Finish."
13) MyEclipse will begin downloading.
14) You can keep working if you'd like. You'll notice a progress bar at the bottom of your screen letting you know the status of the download.
15) Once the download is completed, you will be asked if you want to install the features based on their certificate recognition. Hit "Install All" to proceed.
16) The Update Manager will go through the final necessary steps to complete the installation of MyEclipse.
17) You will need to restart Eclipse for the installation to complete.
