Each connector can be configured through the preferences section and allow integrated controls for starting, stopping servers, deploy all MyEclipse J2EE project types, support for Hot-swap debugging as well as native JSP debugging for JSR 045 compliant application servers.

MyEclipse provides a number of deployment facilities to including linked deployment by recognizing and traversing Eclipse linked folders and files without requiring local copies of shared resources per project. MyEclipse will also display any deployment status messages that are returned from deploying a J2EE module to an application server to help in debugging project deployment problems.

MyEclipse J2EE project deployer also supports advanced deployment of dependent Java projects such that any Java project that is on the classpath of a web project can be configured to be automatically packaged for deployment of the web project through global workspace preferences or at the web project properties level. In this model, hot-sync deployment will detect changed resources in dependent projects and seamlessly deploy them along with the primary project.
